The Mediterranean Hostel Barcelona offered a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for senior travelers like myself. The decoration had a charming and traditional feel, with beautiful and colorful artwork adorning the walls. The general areas, such as the terrace and library, were well-maintained and provided a peaceful space to relax and unwind. Additionally, the hostel's convenient location near Plaza Cataluña made it easily accessible for exploring the city at a more relaxed pace.
It would have been even better if there were grab bars in the bathrooms to ensure better safety and accessibility for senior guests.

Morning walking tours were so profitable, I couldn't believe it! The colorful dorms with free Wi-Fi were Instagram-ready. The cheapest supermarket was just around the corner. I had full access to the common areas all day.
Who needs breakfast when there's free coffee all day long? Duh!

Great location in a residential area, just a short walk from the famous Rambla and Plaza Cataluña. It's like having the best seat in the house for all of Barcelona's day and night-time attractions. The morning walking tours offered by the staff were a game-changer. They guided me through the city center hotspots, making my time in Barcelona much more profitable. The private rooms were so comfortable, they felt like a cozy oasis in the midst of the bustling city. With air conditioning, daily cleaning, safe box, hair dryer, and free linen and towels. The modern design of the hostel gave it a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The colorful dorms, equipped with free Wi-Fi, a terrace, and a chill-out lounge with a flat-screen cable TV, made me feel right at home. Convenience was key, as the cheapest supermarket in Barcelona was just around the corner. It was perfect for picking up snacks or anything else I needed during my stay. The common areas were spacious and inviting, allowing guests to make the most of their time at the hostel. The helpful staff at the 24-hour reception provided me with city maps and information, ensuring I had all the guidance I needed to explore Barcelona. The hostel's location in the quiet area of the Eixample Dreta district offered a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I had the opportunity to learn from young chefs who taught me to cook traditional Spanish dishes like paella, tapas, fideua, and Spanish omelette. It was a delicious and memorable experience. The availability of free coffee throughout the day was a thoughtful touch that kept me fueled and ready to explore. All dorms were tastefully decked out in Mediterranean style, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The individual storage lockers in all dormitories provided peace of mind for storing personal belongings securely. The proximity to La Rambla and Passeig de Gracia made it convenient for those in the mood for shopping or exploring Barcelona's famous landmarks. The rooms offered thoughtful touches like free WiFi and sound-insulated walls, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hostel's free computer corner and vending machines added to the convenience and accessibility for guests. The property had a 24-hour front desk and safety features, like a fire extinguisher, ensuring the well-being and security of guests. The terrace, library, and other amenities provided additional spaces for relaxation and enjoyment during my stay. The nearest airport was just 13 km away, making it easily accessible for travelers. The management of the property by a professional host ensured a high standard of service and hospitality.
Cold showers and minor ceiling damage during rain.

I chose Mediterranean Hostel simply because it was conveniently located near the attractions I wanted to visit in Barcelona. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free WiFi throughout the property, which made it easy to stay connected. One feature that stood out to me was the opportunity to learn how to cook traditional Spanish dishes like paella, tapas, fideua, and even Spanish omelette with the help of talented young chefs.

I chose this hotel for attending a corporate offsite and one of the great things about it was the free computer corner. It was convenient to have access to a computer and internet for work purposes during my stay.
I would have appreciated if they had provided a printer in the computer corner. It would have been useful for printing documents and materials related to my work.

The morning walking tours were such a blast, I learned absolutely nothing while wandering the city with other lost souls. And who needs breakfast when you have free coffee available all day? Hidden gem! The only thing missing was a disco ball in the chill-out lounge, but I guess tranquillity is overrated.

The hostel's location is perfect, being right at the center of the city and close to a metro station. This makes it very convenient to explore Barcelona and visit all the attractions.
Some of the showers in the bathrooms have temperature control issues, which can be quite frustrating when trying to take a shower.

My wife and I had a great time staying at The Mediterranean. We were there for 3 nights and loved the clean and well-maintained facilities. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to popular attractions. The kitchen was also a bonus, as it was fully equipped and allowed us to prepare our own meals. The staff, including Joao, Rose, Leo, and others, were incredibly friendly and helpful. a wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful stay at a budget-friendly hostel in Barcelona. The location was a bit outside of the main tourist areas, but it was worth the short metro ride to escape the crowds. The reception staff were extremely helpful, providing us with a map and recommendations for places to visit. The hostel itself was clean and welcoming, with comfortable beds and a well-maintained shared kitchen and bathroom. The daily cleaning service and fresh towels were a nice touch. The highlight of our stay was the free walking tour, where our guide Colin provided us with great insights and recommendations off the beaten path. I highly recommend this hostel for couples on a tight budget who want to experience Barcelona without breaking the bank.

It would have been nice if the staff, especially the younger ones, could have been a bit more attentive and accommodating towards senior guests. A little more patience and understanding would have made the vacation even more enjoyable for us.
